Job Details: Auto Electrician

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified applicants with the skills and experience outlined below. Please forward a detailed resume clearly demonstrating at least 7 years VERIFIABLE experience in the following trade categories.

 

Applicants MUST have served a 4-year apprenticeship, plus 3 years post-apprenticeship on-the-job experience.

 

Applicants will be initially offered a four-year contract subject to approval of a 457-visa to Australia. If you retain our services Heron Assist will lodge your 457 visa on your behalf.

 

Job Description

Install, maintain, diagnose faults and repair electrical wiring and computer based equipment in cars, trucks, caravans, trailers, earthmoving and agricultural equipment and boats

 

Tasks Include:

  • Remove and replace electrical/electronic units/assemblies

  • Service maintain or replace batteries

  • Test, service and charge batteries

  • Carry out repairs to single electrical circuits

  • Remove, refit and test electrical componentry for normal operation following body repair activities

  • Repair electrical systems

  • Repair instruments and warning systems

  • Overhaul starting motors

  • Repair charging systems

  • Overhaul charging system alternators

  • Inspect, service and repair AC electric motor drive systems

  • Manufacture and repair wiring harness/looms

  • Service and repair electronically controlled steering systems

  • Service and repair electronically controlled suspension systems

  • Repair electronic systems

  • Service and repair electronic spark ignition engine management systems

  • Service and repair electronically control anti-lock braking systems

  • Service and repair electronic drive management systems

  • Repair ignition systems

  • Install marine electrical systems/components

  • Diagnose and repair marine electrical systems/components

  • Install marine electronic systems/components

  • Organise schedules

  • Establish relations with customers

 

MUST have Tech II Computer Diagnostic experience
