Job Details: Panel Beaters

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified applicants with the skills and experience outlined below. Please forward a detailed resume clearly demonstrating at least 7 years VERIFIABLE experience in the following trade categories.

 

Applicants MUST have served a 4-year apprenticeship, plus 3 years post-apprenticeship on-the-job experience.

 

Applicants will be initially offered a four-year contract subject to approval of a 457-visa to Australia. If you retain our services Heron Assist will lodge your 457 visa on your behalf.

 

PANEL BEATING

Good all round trade people required. Experience in high quality repairs on late model vehicles. Must be able to Weld, Repair and Disassemble and Reassemble vehicles.

 

Tasks Include:

• Removes damaged panels and parts, or removes upholstery and accessories to gain access to vehicle

• uses panel-beating hammers to remove dents

• straightens damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment.

• fills depressions with plastic filler, and files, grinds and sands repaired surfaces.

• repairs panels by welding on new sections.

• may assist vehicle body builders in construction or restoring custom-designed, vintage or other specialty vehicles.

• may spray-paint vehicles

• May form panels using metal presses, guillotines and cutters, according to dimensional drawings
