What is the Regional Skilled Migration Scheme Visa?
The Regional Skilled Migration Scheme visa (RSMS) enables businesses
to nominate workers from overseas or temporary residents currently in
Australia to fill full-time, permanent vacancies in regional Australia. There
are a number of guidelines and requirements when applying for a RSMS
Visa – these include that the role hasn’t been able to be filled locally
, whether the role is located in a regional area, the particular length of the
contract and qualification requirements.
Is your business eligible?
To recruit and employ skilled people under the RSMS Visa you must meet the following requirements:

The position must be full time and available for two years. |

You require a person with diploma level qualifications or higher. |

What is the process for applying?
The RSMS application process involves the following three steps:

The employer applies for Certification of the Nomination through an approved Regional Certifying Body recognised by the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship

The employer registers the position and completes the Employer Nomination form

The nominee applies for the visa
