Recruitment from China
To date the problem in recruiting for the meat industry out of China is the lack of non Chinese international experts to verify the skill set of the workers.
Workers are assessed in-plant and are up-skilled as necessary to international standard.
Western processing companies can specify the individual skills a process worker requires, for example boner/slicer, slaughter person.
Heron Assist can arrange for candidates to undertake English language training as required.
Chris has established excellent contacts in the sprawling grasslands of the North East of China and has direct access to the multitude of meat, pork and poultry processing plants spread across this region.
With direct links with processing plants we have been successful in eliminating sub agents and subsequent unnecessary debt for prospective recruits. We have also been able to tap into a very large supply of Chinese meat workers who are eager to be up-skilled to western standards if necessary.
Our vetting processes have enabled us to ensure the integrity of the recruitment process by individual assessment of workers. Chris uses a variety of methods including video and photography, to avoid substitution. |
