Truck Diesel Mechanics wanted with at least 8 years general experience on trucks.
 Must have had at LEAST 3 years total experience working on one or more
of the following truck engines,

•  Cummins Signature,N14, ISX, ISM. 
• Caterpillar C12,C15,C16. 
•  Detroit series 60.
•   Volvo engines  D12A, D12C TD122FK etc
• , Mercedes Benz OM Series engines
•  and Mack E7 and E9. 

 Mechanics will also have general truck repair experience working on brakes, suspensions and transmissions.

Job Description: EXPERIENCED METAL FABRICATERS OR BOILERMAKERS
Required for Australian based companies.
The applicants must have the following skills and requirements:

1. Must have experience in MIG, TIG and Manual Arc Welding.
2. Must be experienced in Oxy-Acetylene cutting
3. Must be able to read, interpret and work to engineering workshop drawings and must have knowledge of welding symbols.
4. Have experience in the use of metal forming machines such as guillotines, folding & brake pressing and roll forming.
5. Must be able to set up and align components  accurately prior to welding.
6. Fitting skills will be an advantage.
7. Must have recognised Trade Qualifications.
8. Ability to work unsupervised.
9. Able to work overtime and at weekends if required.
10. Candidates will be required to undertake a practical welding test.
11. Must have at least 8 years proven experience

Job Description: FIRST CLASS WELDER – GENERAL FABRICATION
Experienced Steel fabricators are required for Australian based companies. The applicants must have the following skills and requirements:Must have experience in MIG and Manual Arc Welding.

• Must be experienced in Oxy-Acetylene cutting
• Must be able to read, interpret and work to engineering workshop drawings and must have knowledge of welding symbols.
• Must be able to use general workshop machinery for drilling, cropping and grinding.
• Must be able to set up and align components  accurately prior to welding.
• Fitting skills will be an advantage.
• Must have recognised Trade Qualifications.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Able to work overtime and at weekends if required.
• Candidates will be required to undertake a practical welding test.
• Must have at least 6 years proven experience

Job Description:  Diesel Fitter Heavy Earthmoving Equipment
Diesel fitters will need to be highly skilled in the area of Heavy earthmoving machinery that is typical to the mining and construction industries.

This includes equipment such as Bulldozers, Excavators, Loaders, Scrapers, Graders, Rollers, Compactors, Dump Trucks, Tip Trucks, Draglines, Continuous miners screening, crushing and wash plants. In addition to the above specific skills in the area of fixed plant such as conveyor and load out systems such as stacker re-claimers would be highly regarded. General experience in mineral processing would be highly regarded also.

All fitters for this type of work will need to have excellent analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills with hydraulics and also A C electrics. They will need to be able to interpret and utilize the use of various machine schematics. There is a requirement to undertake major repairs on site at times such as motor or transmission, final drive change-out or repair.

They must be experienced with machinery from small earthmoving machines right through to some of the biggest earthmoving machines in the world. Specific experience with caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi is essential. Some of the larger machinery produces thousands of horsepower and is required to be used 24 hours per day. They only shut down for service and repair so in these situations you need to respond quickly.

Most Black Coal mining in Australia is open cut or long-wall. There is a broad range of mining operations going on in Australia and there are also opportunities in Hard rock environments, mining precious and semi precious metals and minerals

These fitters will be predominately involved in mine site work or within support workshops so very high standards of health and safety are required. Prior to any employee being on a mine site they will be required to complete a full mine specific medical as well as all relevant mine site inductions and competencies

Diesel fitter are also used in major infrastructure projects such as roads, Dams and Large scale site developments.

There are also opportunities with some big organizations that provide on site services (field service) to various industries.

A lot of work associated with these industries will require you to live and work in semi-remote through to very remote areas. This should not be underestimated as you can not just leave the site and go home to your family. You are required to work rosters and in some cases the only way in or out of site is by plane.

Accommodation in these situations usually takes the form of single accommodation with food and facilities supplied. In some cases you are required to pay for this. The money on these sites is higher than in town situations. Failure of drug or alcohol tests on these sites and breaches of the on site behavioral and workplace safety codes will result in instant dismissal and relocation to your home base will be at your own cost. These standards also apply whilst in camp.
