Who Needs an AQF Assessment?
Australian-Based Clients
- Experienced yet unqualified tradespersons who require certification, e.g. for employment in today’s market, or for advancement in their current job
- Tradespersons whose qualifications are out of date, e.g. certification is no longer recognized in their industry; returning to the workforce after a period of absence; returning to original trade after a period of employment in other types of work
- Tradespersons who have incomplete qualifications
- Tradespersons who no longer have proof of their credentials
- Trainees or Apprentices whose employer seeks an RTO assessment service
- Employers requesting employee qualifications
- Employers requesting pre-training assessment of employees for the identification of existing competencies, or AQF competency level and competency gaps, so that relevant training can be accessed
- Job-seekers registered with recruitment agencies where they may be advised to undertake an assessment of their trade skills and/or where funding is available for certain client groups to undertake AQF assessment for accreditation purposes
- Immigrants who require AQF accreditation for employment purposes
- People with work visas who require AQF accreditation for employment purposes
Off-Shore Clients
- Tradespersons who seek employment in Australia and have applied to migrate
- Tradespersons who seek employment in Australia and have applied to migrate, however their trade evidence fails to meet the criteria for the appropriate trades assessing body
Please note: Although an AQF qualification may assist a migration applicant, there is no guarantee of successful recognition by an appropriate trades recognition body in Australia.
