Heron Assist conducts workplace assessments for AQF qualifications both within Australia and overseas.

Process Methods Step-by-Step

The Heron Assess accreditation model is structured to incorporate
three distinct phases to ensure candidates undertake a thorough
evaluation process on a number of levels.

The three stages incorporate the following elements:

Self Assessment

The Self Assessment phase involvesthe candidate undertaking an
evaluation of their own abilities – through the provision of information
and basic tools to test their required skills. Clicking on the self
assessment tool below provides the candidate with a breakdown
of the skills associated with the certificate.

Pre - Assessment

Within this phase, candidates are required to provide supporting evidence of their competency for a particular role, with formal documentation including certified copies of qualifications, licences, trade certificates and an updated CV. This evidence enables us to determine if they are able to progress to the next stage of assessment.

Practical Skills Assessment

In this phase, our trainers visit each candidate to conduct a practical face to face skills assessment to evaluate their knowledge and assess whether they have the skills required for the role.

Outcome

On completion of the Practical Skills Assessment, our Heron Assess training consultant compiles and reviews all of the above stages. In consultation with our Heron Assess training manager, we are then able to determine if a candidate has successfully demonstrated their competence in the critical elements of the AQF Certificate.
