What does the process involve?
Once the candidate has provided sufficient evidence regarding their trade,
background experience, knowledge and skills and has addressed the
essential criterion of the relevant industry certificate, they may apply to
enter the Practical Skills Assessment Phase.
In this phase, our trainers visit each candidate to conduct a practical
face-to-face skills assessment to provide the candidate with the opportunity
to demonstrate their competence against the essential elements of the
Australian QualificationsFramework Certificate.
The assessment may take the form of:
-
An interview in which the candidate is able to verbally demonstrate their knowledge and ability to perform in the role
-
A practical demonstration in which the candidate is able to demonstrate the required skill set in simulated activities.
